Torque Year In Review 2022 — Marco Ferrari, Managing Director

“2022 has certainly been an eventful and busy year with much to celebrate.   We’ve welcomed new members to the team; some great new accounts; and we’ve continued to deliver impactful, cost-effective results month after month for our clients.

.

2022 has also been a year where we’ve seen the complete easing of Covid restrictions and with that a very welcome return to attending industry events, conferences and award dinners as well as being able to meet clients again for face-to-face meetings.  In addition, and with the world returning to some semblance of normality, we have also been able to organise and put on several media events for our clients, including our first overseas press launch in Germany for nearly three years.   Nothing beats getting key journalists to attend an on-site event where you can truly showcase your clients’ capabilities and facilities as well as help strengthen relationships with the media that matter.   And, last but not least, the return to normality has also meant that as a team, we have been able to enjoy the benefits of meeting up more regularly to share creative ideas, best practice and, sometimes, just a bit of industry gossip!

.

And finally, although there has been much to celebrate this year, if I had to choose one highlight it would have to be how each, and every member of the Torque team has developed and grown in 2022.  We have a great bunch of individuals at Torque.  Their enthusiasm and desire to keep challenging themselves, learn new skills and extend their knowledge and expertise is at the centre of why, as a business, we continue to deliver fantastic results time and time again for our many clients.   Our fabulous team is our greatest strength and asset.

.

On-going challenges around sustainability, climate change and supply chain security, coupled with the cost-of-living crisis, an economic downturn and of course, global conflicts such as the war in Ukraine, will I’m sure continue to pose significant challenges for our industry in 2023.  However, I’m confident that our dedicated and hardworking team will continue to deliver results that help our clients meet their communication and commercial objectives next year.

.

I’d like to wish everyone a relaxing, peaceful and happy Christmas and New Year.”
