Celebrating a very special birthday...

As a high point in Land Rover’s celebrations of its 70th Anniversary, the brand wanted to create a public festival in Solihull – the home of Land Rover since 1948. So, we couldn’t have been more excited when asked to deliver it.

A weekend to celebrate

We were brought in to create a memorable and engaging activity for Land Rover, in its local community. That covered every aspect of event planning and being the single point of contact and coordination for all event suppliers and exhibitors, Jaguar Land Rover and Solihull Council.

Our event involved live demonstrations, displays and presentations, as well as fun interactions across the town, such as an ‘arts trail’, driving experiences and a park exhibition.

Drawn by an opening flypast of the RAF Red Arrows display team, crowds in Solihull’s Mell Square were then treated to a 15-strong cavalcade of Land Rovers through the decades, arriving from Land Rover’s Lode Lane manufacturing facility.

Display vehicles also included two very special Land Rovers, the first production vehicle, known as ‘Huey’ and one of the surviving pre-production prototypes for the original Land Rover, know as ‘Seven’.

Meanwhile, in Solihull’s Tudor Grange Park, we arranged for a Land Rover obstacle course for the public to try their hand at, under the guidance of expert instructors from Land Rover Experience.

After the off-roading excitement, visitors relaxed in an open-air cinema, which screened favourites such as Spectre and Pixar’s Cars.
