Specialist provider of credit hire services, EDAM Group, has opened a new vehicle depot in Falkirk to strengthen the company’s national network coverage. This will serve to support the business’s exceptional levels of growth.

The new Falkirk premises will reduce response times in EDAM Group’s coverage across Scotland, allowing the company to deliver credit hire vehicles faster than before – not only making for a more efficient service but also a greater scope for increased service in Scotland to existing and potential customers. The depot will be run under the credit hire brand EasiDrive, an EDAM Group company.

North-south connection
Strategically placed between Glasgow and Edinburgh, the depot provides EDAM Group with quicker access to customers in the two largest cities in Scotland and the surrounding areas. Excellent motorway connections – served by the M8, M9 and M80 – ensure that there are strong links to both the northern and southern areas of the country.

The premises have created a range of new jobs in the area, as EDAM Group has recruited a depot manager, depot assistants and a team of drivers, overseen by senior management based in Manchester. Maintaining the close links with the company’s Manchester base, Nigel Evans, Group Sales Director at EDAM Group, was on-site to officially open the new facility in Falkirk, together with Brian Campbell, Depot Manager.

We understand the stress that drivers go through when sourcing a replacement vehicle in an accident scenario, so to be able to swiftly source a temporary vehicle is key. These new premises therefore represent a valuable extension to our network and will ensure that we can help our customers get back on the road as quickly as possible. The new facility addresses growing demand for our services across the United Kingdom.
