Two of Havoline’s celebrity ambassadors – Richard Murray and Rachel Klamer – have got their respective seasons up and running, recording multiple victories between them as the professional triathlon series get underway.

Representing Chevron’s Texaco Havoline brand, the two leading triathletes will embrace the brand ethos of “Keep Going” as they seek to build on their early successes throughout the season.

Richard Murray is one of the world’s leading professional triathletes, competing across the globe in the ITU World Triathlon Series. The South African has been supported by Havoline since last season, and has two high-profile wins to his name already in 2018 as his attention now turns to April’s Commonwealth Games on Australia’s Gold Coast.

He was joined this season by Rachel Klamer as Chevron seeks to promote its Havoline family of high-quality engine oils to new markets. The campaign received a huge boost in February when Klamer surged away from the competition to secure her first win of the season at the ITU World Triathlon in Abu Dhabi.

Miles ahead

Following their early success in 2018, both athletes are targeting further victories this season, with their respective schedules taking them all across the globe from Bermuda to Japan and beyond. Richard’s next big challenge is at the Commonwealth Games, where he is looking to improve on the bronze medal he picked up four years ago. After the Games, Richard will complete the ITU World Cup and World Series calendars as he seeks to finish the year as the World’s leading male triathlete.

Alongside Richard’s busy calendar, Rachel will compete in the same ITU competitions, as well as the Super League and Ironman 70.3 World Championship later in the year. By the end of the final triathlon in November, Rachel aims to have secured her place as one of the top five female athletes competing on the World stage.

The support from Havoline helps them to keep going race after race, and is indicative of the way in which Havoline products enable a vehicle to maintain its performance long-term too.

You can keep up to date with Richard and Rachel’s progress via the Havoline Europe Facebook page, or take a look at what Richard had to say to us last year about how he motivates himself.
