I’ve spent my life surrounded by nuts, bolts and oil. Sometimes assembled but very often in a confusing mess. However, my professional career has been reasonably well-assembled, with time spent with minnows like Caterham Cars, through to giants like Ford Motor Company and Peugeot, via a spell as a journalist with Autocar. I race cars for a hobby, which might sound glamorous, but it invariably only leads to poverty and tears.
It’s been a happy thing for me to work in an industry I love, and it’s a privilege to work with so many fantastic brands here at Torque. We all seek to be the best we can and I’m no exception to that, and after more than 25 years in this industry I enjoy the challenge and the speed of evolution, which is greater now than it has ever been. And as fun as the work can be, it’s a serious business, so what gets me out of bed each day is providing incredible results and the best possible value for money for our clients. Well, that and porridge, obviously.
