We pick our favourite and most exciting lots from a wide range of automotive exotica and classics for sale, spanning over 350 consignments over the auction days on Thursday and Friday. Here are our 10 top consignments:

2015 Land Rover Defender SVX Spectre

Lot no.: 123

One of just ten Defenders built for ‘Spectre’, part of the James Bond franchise, RM Sotheby’s expect bids of €175,000 to €225,000 for this vehicle that collided with the aircraft piloted by 007. Built by Jaguar Land Rover’s special operations team and off-road racing manufacturer, Bowler, the SVX Spectre was based on a Defender 110 and features 37-inch tyres, heavy-duty roll cages, toughened suspension and a tuned 180 bhp engine.

2013 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse

Various iterations of the Veyron followed its inception in 2006, with the final swansong – the Grand Sport Vitesse – placed the top of the Veyron model pyramid. Fitted with a 1,201 bhp quad-turbo W16 engine and open-top bodywork, only 92 examples were built at the end of the car’s production run. The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse is expected to command €1,500,000 to €1,700,000.

2018 Italdesign Zerouno

Italian coachbuilders, Italdesign, announced its first internally produced supercar in 2017. The Zerouno boasts a full carbon-fibre bodywork, with a 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 engine mated to a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox, producing 610 bhp and 650 nm of torque. Only five made-to-order vehicles were produced with this example coming with delivery mileage, at auction bids of €950,000 to €1,500,000 are predicted.

1953 Jaguar XK120 Roadster

First unveiled at the 1948 Earls Court Motor Show, the XK120 was the world’s fastest production car at the time of its launch. Built from 1948 to 1954, the car marked Jaguar’s entrance into top-tier motorsport, and was actively used in both racing and rallying. Today eligible for the world’s most prestigious historic motor racing events, chassis no. 674011 is expected to make between €160,000 to € 220,000.

1970 Porsche 911 T

The definitive classic sports car at a relatively affordable price. Launched in 1963 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the classic 911 denotes a continuous process of refinement, with over one million built during its 55-year existence. With projected bids of €50,000 to €70,000, this compact 911 T promises an undiluted driving experience with its lightweight 1,020kg body and 123bhp air cooled 2.2-litre engine. An excellent value lot.


1985 Renault 5 GT Turbo 2

First unveiled at the Brussels Motor Show in 1980, the Renault 5 Turbo was built on a modified Renault 5 chassis. The Turbo’s most radical change was the placement of the engine behind the driver and the switch to rear-wheel drive. Offered from the Youngtimer Collection, this desirable rally car is expected to bring €80,000 to €90,000.

1966 Aston Martin DB6

The DB6 is the culmination of David Brown’s design philosophy that began with the DB4. Finished in Fiesta Red over a black leather interior and retaining its original engine, chassis no. DB6/2590/R provides a brilliant grand tourer for someone seeking Aston Martin’s quintessential 1960s style. This well preserved DB6 is estimated to attract bids of €300,000 to €340,000.

1971 Citroën SM Coupé

The SM featured many innovative features for its day, including self-levelling suspension and self-levelling lights that swivelled with the steering. This French-delivery Citroën SM Coupé remained with its original owner until 2013, finished in original colours of Gold over Tobacco Brown and showing just 66,000 km from new, this luxury French coupe is anticipated to generate bids between €60,000 to €80,000.

1982 Lancia 037 Rally Stradale

Built as a rally car for the road, the 037 Rally Stradale is a true race machine. Translated from Italian, Stradale literally means ‘road-going’, as a nod to Lancia’s efforts to comply with Group B homologation requirements in the 1980s rally championships. This car offered for sale is every part the competition racer, not just looks but also in performance, and has covered only 3,500km from new. An exemplarary example offered in Germany is estimated to fetch between €350,000 to €400,000.

1958 Lamborghini 1R

Lot no.: 209

Granted, this might be the cheapest way into Lamborghini ownership. But you’ll have to be content with swapping the high-powered growl for more of a sedate chug, set by this tractor’s two-cylinder diesel engine with a four-speed gearbox. This original example has been owned by the same family since new, used on the same farm in Italy, and has been meticulously preserved. This would be the perfect stablemate for a 350 GT of the same vintage, and is estimated to fetch between €16,000 to €22,000.
