My journey in the world of communications started in 2016, when I chose to study a journalism degree at Falmouth University after a somewhat last-minute application. It wasn’t until I undertook a communication-based internship in the superyacht industry, however, that I realised my true forte was marketing and social media (alongside writing). This prompted me to switch courses to a journalism and communications degree.

Fast forward to my graduation and I was ready to step into the world of work. That was until a global pandemic forced me to rethink my plans and expectations. During a time of uncertainty, I was fortunate enough to start a graduate role as a content writer in financial services.

After almost two years in the FX industry, I realised that my experience writing for a fan-made motorsport website could help to kickstart a career in the automotive industry.

Growing up with two petrolhead biker parents and a godfather who has spent the best part of 20 years working for Renault, it’s no surprise I was raised on Formula One and MotoGP. This is something that has stuck with me over the years – though I still haven’t got my driving licence…yet!

Within my role at Torque, I’m so excited to have the opportunity to grow and develop in a position where I get to work with a variety of different clients in the most welcoming team.

I’m lucky to live in Cornwall, so for the most part outside of work you’ll find me traversing the coastline, discovering good food or shouting at my television when McLaren have a bad race!
