Torque is an Associate Member of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), the UK’s world-renowned automotive industry organisation.
The SMMT was founded in 1902 to provide leadership, protection, and direction to the fledgling UK automotive industry. Over the decades, it has grown into one of the country's largest and most influential trade associations, championing manufacturing and commercial interests.
Torque is proud to be an Associate Member. It’s the level of membership open to businesses which are not manufacturers or traders, but which provide valuable support and consultancy services to those members which are.
Members of the Torque team regularly attend the SMMT’s flagship annual events, including the International Automotive Summit and SMMT Electrified, as well as regular regional networking sessions. We’ve also involved with several of the Working Groups. The value for Torque is huge: we keep our finger on the pulse of the latest industry trends, get advanced notice of any hot topics on the horizon, and of course meet up with our existing clients and potential new ones.
